The development of international relations and the formation of an open domestic market make their adjustments to the structure of competitiveness of enterprises as an economic category. In modern economics there is no single, generally accepted definition of the competitiveness of the enterprise. Scientists who study this problem are because it is a dynamic, relative characteristic of the enterprise, which exists in terms of the availability of competition. Costs are a necessary condition for the operation of the enterprise, the quantity and quality of their implementation significantly affect the formation of financial results. Therefore, the activities of a modern enterprise largely depends on decision-making to optimize costs, which becomes an important factor in maintaining competitive advantage and ensuring sustainable development.
\nThe factors of ensuring the competitiveness of industrial enterprises are investigated. The most important factors in reducing production costs are identified. It is noted that in the formation of competitive advantages in the context of globalization there are indicators of quality, time and cost. The relationship between production costs and the competitiveness of industrial products has been established. The need to reduce production costs in order to ensure the competitiveness of products in the market is substantiated.
