The construction industry of Ukraine is one of the leading sectors of the national economy. The enterprises of the construction industry ensure the creation of economic potential and stable development of its economy.<\/p>\n

Economic security of the construction industry is an important component of state economic security. It characterizes its ability to function properly to achieve its goals under existing external conditions and their changes within certain limits. Ensuring the economic security of the construction industry involves measures aimed at increasing the financial stability, liquidity, competitiveness of construction companies, which should be based on a detailed classification of risks and threats from the external and internal environment faced by the construction industry.<\/p>\n

Among the main types of risks to the economic security of the construction industry of Ukraine are production, legal, political, financial, investment, personnel, information. These risks pose potential threats to the economic security of the construction industry. The list of these threats is characterized by diversity and requires their classification in order to highlight the characteristics.<\/p>\n

Generalization of scientific approaches to the classification of threats to economic security of the construction industry allowed to identify such classification criteria as source, probability of implementation, manifestation of the source of threat, nature of impact, frequency, duration of action, degree of danger, scale of destabilization, possibility of prevention duration of destructive influence, in the direction of negative influence, level and nature of influence of factors; object of encroachment, the level of subjective assessments of the degree of development of threats.<\/p>\n

The systematization of classification features of threats to the economic security of the construction industry indicates their significant number and causes the complexity and ambiguity of determining the economic security of the construction industry. It should be taken into account when developing a methodology for assessing the state and level of economic security of the construction industry and identifying mechanisms to prevent and eliminate potential threats to it.<\/p>\n
