In this paper the determination of energy costs during the penetration of the indenter into the plastic medium (armored steel) is proposed. An example of calculation of energy costs during the penetration of a solid indenter (bullet) through a plate of a certain thickness of armored steel grade 45H2NMFBA is presented.
\nThe calculation of the resistance factor of the medium of the armored steels is refined and the dependence which takes into account falling of speed of movement of an indenter in the strengthened medium is received.
\nBased on the approaches presented in the phenomenological theory of deformability, it is proposed to determine some characteristics of the stress- determination state in both static and dynamic conditions.
\nUsing the functions (flow curve, plasticity diagram) that form the technological passport of the material and taking into account the strengthening of the material, the specific potential and deformation energy are determined.
\nUsing the dependences obtained in this work, the developers at the design stage will be able to provide recommendations for the construction of technological processes for the manufacture of elements and structures of armor of proper quality.
