\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0The goals of sustainable development are the key directions of development of the countries approved by the UN Summit on Sustainable Development. They are approved for the period from 2015 to 2030 and have 17 Global Goals, which meet 169 goals. The achievement of each of them by the countries will contribute to successful development, where among the many main ones one of the most important is to ensure the formation of the food security system.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this article is to research of the goals of sustainable development of the country and determine their place that affect the formation of the food security system and the relationship with the agricultural sector of the country.<\/p>\n

Research has shown that in Ukraine, according to the main goals of sustainable development of the country, there are many ways to improve the situation for the better. The results of the analysis of each of the 17 CSWs determined the impact of each of them on the formation of the food supply system, directly proportionally affect it and determine the directions and trends of sustainable development of the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n

It is proved that: if the dynamics of the level of consumption is maintained, a rational consumption rate for meat can be expected in 2036, for fruit – in 2038, and for milk there is a tendency to reduce the level of its consumption; under conditions of maintaining the dynamics of total exports and exports of food industry and processing of agricultural raw materials in exports of groups 1-24 UKTZED, and other things being equal, the dynamics of the share of food industry and processing of agricultural raw materials in exports of groups 1-24 UKTZED will not change. it will not succeed by 2030, and it will be possible to reach the value of 51.0% in 2020 only in 2052; provided that the growth rate of agricultural land under organic production in the total area of agricultural land is maintained, the planned level of the indicator can be achieved in due time, however, the planned target for 2030 (1.7%) is very low (given global trends in organic movement and potential opportunities for Ukraine’s participation in this process, this indicator should be much higher); provided that the established trends continue to achieve the target set in the National Report 2017 “Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine” CSW2, consumer prices for food by 2030 will not succeed.<\/p>\n

Future reports on the state of food security and nutrition in the world will contribute to the integrated monitoring of progress towards overcoming hunger and eradicating all forms of malnutrition (CSD 2.1 and 2.2) by assessing synergies and trade-offs with other CSD goals2 . This will be done mostly at the global level through comparisons of regions and countries, as well as through case studies of countries.<\/p>\n

It is argued that in general, FAO’s activities in the implementation of CSW2 can be systematized in three areas: monitoring the implementation of CSW2 and measuring progress; global processes; global partners. This distribution is determined by the specifics of goals and objectives for a particular area of activity and level.<\/p>\n

FAO has been shown to have significant potential comparative advantages in assisting countries in meeting new challenges in the field of CSD monitoring2, in particular through the implementation of the following projects: Global Strategy for the Improvement of Agricultural Statistics (GSIAS); Self-Assessment of Food Hazard Assessment Module (FIES-SM); Global Review Center (GSH).<\/p>\n
