The issue of ensuring social security is becoming especially urgent for Ukrainian society, because the neglect of key threats and the promotion of the society polarization has led to significant protest movements and even to the loss of part of the territories. Since effective detection, prevention of threats or minimization of their consequences is impossible without a clear understanding of the essence, key aspects of societal security and its position in Ukraine\u2019s national security system, the issue of in-depth consideration of the outlined issues is ripe for today in our state.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the study consists in substantiating the position and components of the state societal security in the system of its national security.<\/p>\n<p>In the article characterized the content and priority national interests of Ukraine in the context of its national security. Studied the approaches to distinguishing the societal security components and their position in the national security system, prevailing in the domestic scientific opinion. Three key aspects of the state&#8217;s societal security are substantiated: normative and legal, economic and the level of social development.
