analysis methods are widely used in image processing problems in Earth remote sensing systems, but the question remains of the application of fractal geometry methods in radar imaging problems in radars with synthesized aperture, especially with low contrast objects present on them. The study of the applicability of fractal theory methods in the problem of detecting low-contrast targets on radar images, as well as options for improving the efficiency of such detection by applying a complex approach is an urgent scientific task. To solve it requires an analysis of the processing of various natural and anthropogenic scenes obtained in the systems of remote sensing. The mathematical model of image formation in radars with synthesized aperture is considered. The formed model of the scene obtained in RSA is a space of two-dimensional backscattering functions, uniquely corresponding to the space of objects located on the surface being taken. The specific effective scattering area and the complex reflection function are determined. The influence of polarization on the processing of radar images is considered. In the imaging model, account is taken of the addition of additive random noise and multiplicative interference in the form of speckle noise, which in turn can be used to identify spatially distributed objects and evaluate the characteristics of PCA. A mathematical model of the fractal method of estimating radar images using the observed signal function, random noise function, textural objective function and textural background function is constructed. It is established that the determination of fractal properties of regions and objects present in images obtained in space surveillance systems is possible only when calculating the local fractal dimension.
