The information technology of web portals competitiveness estimation is developed in the work on the basis of creation of models of criteria for portals evaluation and their realization by means of mathematical statistics. The purpose of the study was to set and solve the following tasks: to characterize the basic principles and rules of a quality network information product; to create a set of factors that influence the process of assessing the quality of the web portal and build a hierarchical classification model for them; determine the main and additional criteria for assessing the quality of the web portal, split the criteria into classes. Based on all defined and separate criteria, a hierarchical model of portals quality assessment criteria was constructed. The concept of web portal quality assessment using information models and method of analysis of variance was developed.
