Modern successful business requires constant updating of the product offer, so first of all the urgent problem is the production and launch of interesting and modern designs on the market of goods, the updated range of innovative or not typical materials, the use of elements of decoration and decoration of products. The analysis of the domestic footwear market and the world experience allow us to confirm the fact that in developed market economies, domestic demand should be oriented to the goods of domestic and not foreign manufacturers. This applies, in particular, to the footwear industry, for which the recovery of demand for domestic footwear is essential for enterprises to ensure their effective functioning. It is very difficult to increase the interest of the modern consumer in domestic production and, accordingly, the demand for these products. As the modern consumer is a person who leads an active lifestyle, travels, has access to information from an online resource, has high standards of living, and therefore has high requirements for the quality and appearance of products. She wants to be a modern, creative, fashionable person and have products that meet her requirements and preferences. Today in the world is a fashion for everything Ukrainian and who, not us, Ukrainians, should use this opportunity to inform the world about our traditions, culture, painting techniques, crafts, having recreated their elements in products. The development and implementation of new products, as well as the modification and transformation of the existing product range, greatly contribute to the balance of supply and demand. If the consumer quality of a new product meets the requirements of market entities – consumers of this product, then it wins a strong position in the market. The article deals with the state of the domestic footwear market, presents the results of studies of the possibility of using elements of Petrykivka painting for decoration and decoration of leather products, developed an assortment of women’s shoes with elements of decoration, produced a test sample, presents the results of marketing research on consumer preferences for the development of assortment items mural, and also found out how its range meets the needs of the population. The possibility of using non-standard techniques and materials for the decoration and decoration of shoes is predicted. A collection of sketches of various shoe designs using elements of the Petrykivka painting has been developed, which includes the assessment of consumers as to the relevance of its use in the production of shoes.
