The serviceable state and all serviceable states of the diagnosis object reflect its technical state. Therefore, diagnostics can achieve its goal only as a result of the analysis of many working and malfunctioning states in which the object can be. This analysis can be performed theoretically during the development of a new car and its units or experimentally during the operation of the car. However, performing such an experiment in operation is complicated due to the large number of possible states of the object of diagnosis or is simply technically impossible to perform. In this regard, special methods are needed for theoretical analysis of many possible states of the car in general or its individual parts. Such methods are based on the study of diagnostic models. Diagnostic models determine cause-and-effect relationships between the technical condition of the object of diagnosis (initial and internal parameters of its structure) and their diagnostic signals (initial parameters). Diagnostic models can be in analytical, tabular, vector, structural-consequential or other forms. The choice of the model depends on some factors: operating conditions, possible constructions, degree of study of this object or its separate system, degree of abstraction from the real system, etc. Analytical models most fully describe the processes of the diagnostic system. However, with a large number of structural elements and external factors acting on the system, they are very cumbersome, which makes it difficult to use them in relation to the initial parameters. A method of analysis of the diagnostic model is proposed to determine the parameters used for the properties of the model and to evaluate its elements, namely, the determination of the area of influence of the parameters of the graph, the section of the model of the independent part of the stacking of the top of the graph. The vertices of the graph model are evaluated using an integral indicator, and the edges of the graph are evaluated by the amount of information they convey.
