In the article the current functioning state of technical support system of armoured vehicles fleets was estimated. The building of current reality tree using the methods described in the theory of constraints by E. Goldratt which enables to distinguish the system elements resulting in the existence of hidden conflict. The results of conducted analysis contributed to formulation of main methods of achievement of ultimate goal of functioning system and enumeration of conditions when each method can ensure maximum efficiency. The essence of the first method means that the whole vehicles fleet is maintained in the place of station of the unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The second method means that all the vehicles are maintained in place of station of appropriate units; and the third \u2013 all the vehicles are maintained at the repair enterprises or service network points defined by a manufacturer or supplier by place of location of border guard units and organs. It has determined that in case of combined use of methods there are difficulties which are connected particularly with system autonomy, its resistance to interior and exterior factors, continuity, high quality and timeliness of technical maintenance services to vehicles fleet. The main reasons of existence of conflict within the system is a wide geography of places of permanent station of certain units within the border guard organ, wide range of vehicles, joint use of new models and vehicles with long-term exploitation. It confirms the necessity to design fundamentally new combined and adaptive system of technical support of vehicles fleet. The authors determined the further direction of research. It is to find the optimal combination of system elements and search index, which demonstrate the best of varinativ by a combination of a number of properties of the system.
