The search for national approaches to sustainable development management in Ukraine is quite active. However, modern policy of sustainable development is only a positioning of intentions. The existing model of development of the national economy of Ukraine should be attributed to the model of technogenic type of economic development, which does not provide for environmental restrictions. One of the reasons for maintaining this type of economic development is the exclusion of environmental and social emphasis from the economic activity of sectors of the national economy. In turn, this leads to environmental and economic losses that occur as a result of reduced soil fertility, increased pollution and reduced quality of life.
\nIn Ukraine, the practice of making economic, social, technological and environmental decisions without the necessary combination of them into a single integrated system based on a strategy of balanced development continues. Complex transformation processes in Ukraine and the lack of political will have led to the fact that balanced development has not become a priority of state policy of Ukraine.
\nSustainable development of the agricultural sector is a balanced long-term development taking into account economic, environmental and social parameters, the main criterion of which is to ensure not only food but also national security. All this has led to the relevance of the study of the formation of sustainable land use as a component of the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine’s economy.
\nThe article is devoted to the study of aspects of sustainable land use in transformational conditions from the standpoint of a systems approach.\u00a0 The goals of choosing the directions of development of sustainable land use, which provides for the optimization of the sectoral structure of agriculture, aimed at preserving the ecosystem of the region.\u00a0 The system of formation of the sphere of sustainable development of the national economy is substantiated.\u00a0 Levels of decision-making on the formation of ecological and economic territorial systems on the basis of sustainable development are formed.
