This scientific article is devoted to the theoretical basis for the formation of a strategy for innovative development of an industrial enterprise on the basis of a system-integrated approach. This article analyzes the content of the category “strategy” from the standpoint of scientific views of various authors. The classification of strategies of an industrial enterprise is carried out, where the types of strategies are grouped and strategies are defined based on the stages of enterprise development. The conceptual and categorical apparatus of enterprise economics have been improved by introducing the concept of “strategy of innovative development of industrial enterprise”, which, in this study, means the choice of optimal directions of enterprise development based on system-integrated approach, which are priorities for achieving strategic goals and implementation of an innovative strategy to obtain an economic effect for an industrial enterprise. Statistics on the implementation of innovations in industrial enterprises are analyzed and it is established that there is no stability in innovation processes in industrial enterprises, which are associated with economic, political and social instability in the country and in the world. The goals of the strategy of innovative development of an industrial enterprise are formed, the implementation of which depends on the chosen economic strategy (commodity, price, interaction with the markets of production resources, cost reduction) and sources of investment. The key not only to the development but also to the implementation of the strategy of innovative development is to improve the organizational-managerial and informational-communication component of the industrial enterprise, which will in the future solve the tasks and get the economic effect of economic activity.
