The country’s food security depends to a large extent on the efficiency of grain production. The level of its development largely determines the political and economic stability in the country. To meet the needs of the country in the required volume and range, it is necessary to comprehensive and balanced development of grain farming, storage, processing and use of grain resources, a complete change in the management system by the state. It is a question of formation of new interrelations between producers and consumers of grain on the basis of mutual interest that promotes increase in production and more rational use of grain.
\nThe article emphasizes that the grain market has a decisive influence on the food security of our country. Currently, in the context of import substitution, many livestock products continue to be imported in large quantities, in which grain is the feed base, although they can be produced with great benefit domestically. In recent years, Ukraine has become a major grain exporter and entered the top ten world grain sellers in the world market. Now the main problem in the grain business is not production, but effective management and marketing of grain in the domestic and especially foreign markets.
\nUnder the “grain market” is understood an integrated mechanism that covers the production – processing – logistics – marketing of grain products, which provides access to the consumer.\u00a0 It is noted that today it is not necessary to draw clear boundaries in the management of segments of the grain market, as all sectors of this market are technologically interconnected through a set of integrated activities.\u00a0 They also give their model of management of the grain market, which clearly demonstrates the main blocks of the studied production system, their connections and relationships.
\nThe practical implementation of such interaction promises grain market participants to obtain a certain synergistic effect due to the systematic functioning of technological, logistical, marketing and other business relations between all its participants, adjusting price proportions, better economic tools for investing in this business.
