The article examines the current state of the construction industry of Ukraine. Construction is one of the priority sectors of the national economy, without its development it is impossible to provide proper infrastructure, it creates a large number of jobs. The article presents the volume of construction output by type during 2015-2019, and draws conclusions about the growth of construction output by its main types. The highest growth rates in 2019 are observed for the following types of construction products: runways by 1577.9%, bridges, overpasses, tunnels and subways – 104.7%, buildings of electricity companies – 132.4% and sports and entertainment facilities – 139.7%. This indicates the demand for construction products and the development of the industry as a whole. In the structure of production volumes by main types in 2019, the largest share falls on non-residential buildings and complex industrial structures. The indices of construction products by type during 2015\u20132019 were studied, the given data testify to the stable growth of the index, and the largest growth compared to the previous month is observed for buildings, namely non-residential buildings. The profitability (loss) of operating and all activities of enterprises is presented, the data indicate a positive financial result from operating activities and all activities of enterprises in 2019. The highest profitability in 2019 by type of activity – demolition and preparatory work on the construction site, namely operating profitability – 22.6% and profitability of all activities – 18.6%, although in previous years this type of activity was unprofitable during 2015-2017 . The volume of manufactured construction products by regions is given and their specific weight is calculated. Appropriate conclusions are made. The largest share of the volume of construction products produced by region in 2019 falls on the city of Kyiv – 23.03%, Dnipropetrovsk region – 11.04%, Odessa region – 9.85% and Kharkiv region – 9.18%. Conclusions are made on the prospects for further development of the industry.
