The use of the proposed approach makes it possible to aggregate indicators of agricultural sector development, identify structural disparities in state agricultural policy and form an institutional and analytical basis for its improvement. It was identified that despite the presence of positive trends in economic indicators of the agricultural sector in Ukraine, increasing the volume and efficiency of agricultural production, the current state of institutional and analytical support for the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine does not meet its existing natural resource potential. The existing disparities in the development of the agricultural sector and their territorial specificity prompted the use of the method of cluster analysis in order to group the regions of Ukraine by key indicators of crop production and animal husbandry. This served as a basis for the formation of a balanced state policy in the field of institutional and analytical support for the development of the agricultural sector, which takes into account industry specialization and regional specifics. As a result of conducting an integrated assessment of the level of development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine and its institutional and analytical support, the relationships between indicators of socio-economic development, environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector and food security were identified. The results of the integrated assessment indicate an increase in the level of development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine.
