The article presents a conceptual approach to the study of the content and features of management of ecological and economic safety of agricultural production which is based on the principle of complexity (aimed at obtaining and practical use of new knowledge in managing the relationship between society, socio-economic interests of agricultural production and environment). ) and systematization (takes into account the laws of nature and is based on objective socio-economic laws) whose action is aimed at improving the ecological, socio-economic system of relations and the development of productive forces in the context of environmental protection. Scientific provisions on the formation of the structure of ecological-socio-economic system of ecological and economic safety of agricultural production due to its decomposition into subsystems, which have the appropriate properties, principles, tasks and tools of functioning. This makes it possible to specify directions and develop common approaches to public management of environmental safety of agricultural production in the long run. The main task of environmental safety of agricultural production is to maintain the integrity of the agricultural ecological system and ensure the balanced development of the agricultural sector, which becomes possible by recognizing the relationship and content of its three components – environmental, social and economic. Ecological, socio-economic system of environmental safety of agricultural production is a complex, orderly set of subsystems, interconnected mechanisms, methods and tools, measures aimed at long-term sustainability and environmental friendliness of agricultural production and protection of public interests.
