The article is devoted to the assessment of the current state of functioning of livestock enterprises in Ukraine and substantiation of directions for the formation of the strategy of renovation of agricultural production entities. Transformation of the management system of the national economy, reforming the organizational and economic mechanism necessitates the creation of a flexible structure of agricultural enterprises that would stimulate farmers to entrepreneurial and creative initiative. Achieving this goal is associated with the implementation of a multifaceted set of successive measures. They are presented to us in the form of three interdependent links: the first – immediate measures of a general economic nature, affecting all levels of government; second – improving the economic mechanism of the agricultural enterprise; third – improving the organizational structure of the agricultural enterprise. It is necessary to find the optimal combination between the measures of strategic planned regulation and the market mechanism. It is identified that the instability of the socio-economic situation in Ukraine, the low level of capital concentration in the agricultural sector, the price disparity between agricultural and industrial products and its consequences have led to chronic problems in the livestock sector. Ob\u0491runtovano that formuvannya materialno-tehnichnoyi bazy subjects ahrarnoho production according to cuchacnyh cvitovyh ctandartiv, pidvyschennya level fondozabezpechenocti haluzi, rozshyrene vidtvorennya ocnovnoho kapitalu potrebuyut znachnyh invectytsiy, which mozhna zabezpechyty by komplekcu inctytutsionalnyh zahodiv in protseci renovatsiy strategy formation. An integrated system of institutional support for renovations in the context of strategic development of production and economic activities of livestock enterprises is proposed. Solving the problems of renovation and development of livestock enterprises requires a comprehensive approach, the formation of a unified strategy and mechanism for the development of enterprises on the basis of intersectoral integration and intensification of innovation processes. Renovation of livestock should be based on the restructuring of the model of its management on a network basis based on the development of advanced resource-saving low-cost mechanized technologies of production and processing of products in a closed cycle using the latest design and technological solutions.
