The article considers and analyzes the world experience of forming the investment policy of the state. In particular, the American and Japanese models of state investment policy are considered. The experience of Japan shows that high results are obtained only when a sound public investment policy is successfully combined with the use of favorable domestic factors and is carried out with the support of highly qualified management staff. . In the regulation of investment activities in Germany, as well as in the UK, a special place is given to investment companies, whose activities are regulated by the Law on Investment Companies. Poland’s economy is very attractive to foreign investors as long as the Polish government’s foreign investment policy is friendly and open. The investment policy of the Netherlands is based on a competent presentation of investment projects to potential foreign partners. Austria has an effective system aimed at supporting the investment activities of foreign investors.
\nWithout an in-depth study of the world experience in the formation of investment policy, it is impossible to study ways to modernize the economy, as well as to identify tools for its implementation. The practice of the states that have carried out modernization, as well as the states that are still undergoing these processes, show that active investment activity is one of the conditions for successful economic development, and the state investment policy is an effective tool for modernizing the economy.
\nThe study of world experience has made it possible to find out that the state innovation policy of Ukraine has certain features, primarily due to macroeconomic and political factors, which have a certain negative impact. In order to eliminate the effect of these destructive factors of the national economy and further prevent their occurrence, the state regulation of Ukraine must adhere to the principle of systematization.
