\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The sphere of physical culture and sports plays an important role in strengthening the health of the population, improving its efficiency, creating new jobs, and is a promising sector of the national economy. Given the existing problems and the weak development of performance indicators in this area, there is a need to conduct research on the state and prospects of intensifying the development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine.
\nThe purpose of the research is to reveal the state and problems of the development of physical culture and the sports sphere in Ukraine to justify the need and ways to intensify its development in the future.
\nIt has been determined that physical culture and the sports sphere are integral element of intangible production. The indicators of realization of services in physical culture and sports sphere for 2010\u20132019 are analysed, and their positive dynamics are revealed. At the same time, it was determined that the sphere of sports remains rather insignificant in the structure of economic activities in Ukraine. It is noted that the growth of the share of services provided in the field of sports in the crisis years is evidence of the existing stable demand and resilience of the industry to economic fluctuations. The dynamics of the number of business entities in the field of physical culture and sports is analyzed. It was found that services in the field of sports are provided mainly by individual entrepreneurs, which proves the importance of this area for the development of small business and job creation, employment growth. Among the problems of further development of physical culture and sports are the lack of financial resources, weak state support, weak material, and technical base.
\nThe legislative bases of regulation of the physical culture and sports sphere in Ukraine are analysed. It is determined that in order to achieve certain goals, it is important to establish fruitful cooperation between state institutions, local communities, private sports organizations, public associations, and specialists in this field.
\nIn the context of determining the prospects for the development of physical culture and sports, the question of the development of inclusive sports is raised. The goals set in the Strategy for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports for the period up to 2028 are analysed.
\nThe physical culture and sports sphere is one of the key factors in the development of socio-economic growth of any country, which necessitates its state support and development. Today in Ukraine, the results of business entities in this area are gradually declining, due to both economic factors and the lack of effective support from the state. Ukraine has adopted a development strategy that defines general guidelines and strategic goals for further changes in this area. To achieve certain prospects, in-depth analysis requires a scientific justification of the mechanisms of activation of physical culture and sports in a decentralized environment.
