The article examines the role of the gaming industry as a component of information technology. It is noted that the advent of computers, and especially game consoles, led to the development of the gaming industry. It has been found that computer games have undergone a fairly long stage of development, appearing in 1942, and have gradually taken over the field of human leisure. It is established that computer games, intended at the time of their origin exclusively for children, evolved, gradually developing together with their players, and acquired more and more adult properties. It is noted that due to the expansion of the distribution of computer games, a man faced the problem of moral choice and alternative freedom. It is determined that since there are so many platforms and genres in the gaming industry today, there is a lot of competition in the gaming market and the struggle for the gaming audience begins. It is emphasized that to create a unique game, you need to use a lot of resources that will create a system that will promote the development of the game application, and then to keep players in the game, you need to properly use the data from them. It has been studied that most gaming companies, in order to attract more demand for their products, try to develop new game modes, which are divided into two types: single and multi-user (with a single game is a certain plot with prescribed system players (gods) multiplayer games contain a certain number of real players on one generated card, where all players are systematically connected to the server, which stores the necessary information). It is concluded that in the organization of work in most young companies there are certain mistakes and shortcomings, due to which in the early stages of development often the IT team breaks up, and the product does not reach the final release. <\/span><\/p>\n
