In general, the modern world market of hotel services can be considered developed, there are different categories of accommodation and in particular hotels that meet the accommodation needs of both the population of the country and foreign guests. The hotel business is inextricably linked to the tourism sector, so if there is a decrease in tourism activity, the efficiency of the hotel industry is also reduced. Based on the periodization of the global economic cycle of hotel business development, the concept of the current stage of its development is formed, the semantic sectoral scheme of the conceptual essence of the concept of “hotel” is offered.
\nThe hotel business is an independent business entity, whose activities are subject to the Commercial Code of Ukraine and specific (in the hotel and restaurant and tourism sector) regulations, operates in the field of hospitality and is a collective means of temporary accommodation, which in addition , provides additional household, beauty, wellness, entertainment, sports, tourism, information, business and other services to meet the needs of consumers in accordance with national and international standards of hotel services, maintaining the brand of the national center and making a profit on this basis.
\nHotel business is an important area of socio-economic activity, developing in all countries of the world. Having gone through a number of stages of formation, this sector of the economy is currently in the phase of beginning a new cycle of development, because under the influence of the crown virus pandemic hotel business needs radically new levers of operation and development, as well as effective corporate and marketing strategy.
