The specificity of health care analyzed in Ukraine in the presented work. The paper deals with essential problems of the specific activity of private small and medium medical institutions in Ukraine. The effective private medical services to the population in conditions of aggravation of crisis phenomena has been shown. The investment attractiveness of the private healthcare sector in Ukraine has been shown. The study deals with private small and medium medical institutions complex characteristic. The paper shows the importance of improving the efficiency of private medical institutions. The key aspects of their functioning are analyzed on the basis of a detailed analysis of the problems. The main legal, organizational and socio-economic trends and features of the process of functioning of private medical institutions in Ukraine have been revealed in the study. Proposals and recommendations for ensuring the effective functioning of private medical institutions in Ukraine are developed in the manuscript. The study shows a necessity of perspective directions of development of small and medium medical institutions with innovative component. This study analyses the main risks of private medical institutions.\u00a0 Marketing tools for it is being analyzed in the presented work. This paper shows effectiveness of private medical institutions abroad. The problems and the specificity of private small and medium medical institutions in Ukraine protection analyzed in the article. The paper aims to research the organizational and economic levers of effective its functioning. Results of the study can be used in the activity of medical institution, enterprisers, public authorities and future studies.
