national economy, integration into the European economic space and the development of the welfare state. It is impossible to solve these problems without the transformation of the institution of labor, the growth of its innovative component, changes in values, motivational guidelines and strengthening the social responsibility of the main parties of social and labor relations. One of the main obstacles in this direction is the ineffective policy of remuneration for work, which leads to asymmetries in the distribution of benefits, exacerbation of contradictions between labor and capital, deepening social inequality, devaluation of labor prestige and reduced staff interest in its results. In the conditions of transformational economy in Ukraine it became clear that the laws of the market determine the predominance of other motives and value orientations than in the times of the socialist economy. Defining the values of the modern Ukrainian worker, as the main actor in the functioning of the economic mechanism, makes it possible to answer the question of how possible Ukraine&#8217;s entry into the sphere of a civilized market.<br \/>\nMotivation is the main element of activation of the human factor, which not only creates the material preconditions for production, but also ensures their effective use. Methodological approaches to the formation of a system of personnel motivation at an industrial enterprise are considered. Based on these theories, grouped motives leading industrial workers. Presented types of motivation today. The motives that motivate a person to work effectively in the workplace are described. The basic ideas on development of motivation of the personnel of the enterprise are formed. Factors of growth of labour productivity in the motivational mechanism at the enterprise are allocated. It is found satisfaction level of the current system of the staff motivation and was identified their labour motives.
