\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The article analyzes the existing approaches in modern science to the interpretation of the essence of the potential of the enterprise. Different concepts of potential research characterized: its interpretation as a set or as a characteristic of resources, which characterizes the resource concept of studying this category, and as power, set of opportunities, ability to achieve results and relations – resultant. The ambiguity of the position on the interpretation of the category “enterprise potential” confirmed, because the same category is associated with the concepts of “resources”, “opportunities”, “abilities” and acts as a characteristic or relationship. adhere to the etymological interpretation of the category “potential” in relation to the enterprise as a set of opportunities to achieve appropriate results in their activities, due to the system of abilities to use them in a changing environment. The potential of the enterprise described as a complex, changing system that is able to adapt to environmental conditions, the study of which is due to the urgent need to determine the processes of its formation and implementation mechanisms to improve the enterprise management system. The peculiarities of coordination of the categories “market potential”, “production potential” and “strategic potential” in the context of the study of the concept of “enterprise potential” substantiated. It proved that these categories are fundamentally different, because the market potential includes the formation and use of demand for goods or services will lead, while the strategic potential is a model of enterprise behavior in the market. Given the above, all three types of potential that scientists identify with entrepreneurship are only its structural elements that interact with each other. The delimitation of these concepts will increase the efficiency of the entrepreneurial potential of the enterprise in view of the use of the features of each of them<\/p>\n
