The software was considered in terms of its suitability for companies specializing in the transport of oversized long cargo. The programs mentioned in the work do not constitute a closed directory. When choosing the systems, their popularity and availability were taken into account. Programs supporting TDL industries can be grouped into three basic categories, such as: freight exchanges, fleet management systems, and specialized software. An employee of an exemplary logistics company was asked about the usefulness of these systems in a company that transports oversized long cargo. The example of an interview conducted in an example logistics company was used to present which IT applications are currently used. The interview with the respondent revealed significant shortcomings in the specialist software market. The collected information indicates the need to build an integrated logistic IT system for the industry dealing with comprehensive delivery from the producer to the place of assembly of long and often
