\u00a0 \u00a0The article emphasizes the importance of generalizing the features of increasing the sustainability of development in the management of trade flows in agri-food networks. A generalized description of such typical market failures as negative external factors, monopolies, inefficiency in production and distribution, incomplete information, inequality and public goods is presented. It is established that the subjects of traffic management in agri-food chains may have different motives for transformation, such as financial interests, improvement of (public) image; or social and environmental performance issues (such as corporate social responsibility). It has been proven that sustainability can also be perceived differently, as an object of competition; as an attribute of food product probability; or as an opportunity for collaboration through sustainable supply chain management. It is argued that it is important for society to establish interaction between market actors, which would help solve existing problems between participants in such relations and that third parties who were not participants in these relations do not feel the possible negative impact of such market interaction on themselves.<\/p>\n
