The role of functional and production subsystems in the process of forming a general strategy is to perform the function of ensuring the achievement of strategic goals of the organization without identifying in the relevant subsystems “bottlenecks” that slow down the development of the business organization. One of such weaknesses is often the existing equipment, which in the vast majority, first of all, industrial business organizations of Ukraine is morally and physically obsolete, and the whole technical subsystem of such organizations requires the fastest possible technical development using progressive and intensive forms. One of such forms is technical re-equipment of production.
\nThe aim of the research is substantiation of the need for technical re-equipment as one of the progressive forms of renewal of fixed assets, which will increase the efficiency of the business organization and achieve a high competitive position in domestic and foreign markets and its relationship with the overall strategy of the organization. The article highlights the main aspects of technical re-equipment, as a necessary component of improving production in general and the technical subsystem of the business organization in particular. The main directions of strategic analysis of the technical subsystem in the process of rearmament are studied and the list of its advantages before other forms of technical development is given. The strategic direction of technical re-equipment is reflected in the following stages of strategic analysis of the technical subsystem of the business organization: analysis of the technical level and determination of areas for improvement of technical and technological base, analysis of technical re-equipment plan, analysis of technical re-equipment plan and resource efficiency reserves. Thus, technical re-equipment of production plays the role of one of the key factors of success and increase of the general productivity and efficiency of functioning of the business organization.
