Стаття присвячена дослідженню розвитку міжнародної логістики та визначенню її сучасних тенденцій. На основі проведеного дослідження було зроблено висновки щодо еволюції міжнародної логістики, як ці етапи вплинули на сучасний стан даної сфери та тенденції її розвитку.
Мета дослідження. Дослідити історичну базу міжнародної логістики, її вплив на сьогодення та сучасні тенденції даної логістичної галузі.
Актуальність дослідження. Ще з часів древніх греків та римлян, навіть Єгипетської держави, міжнародна торгівля посідала особливе місце в економіці тих народів. В обмін на товар або гроші, окрема людина могла отримати певний необхідний товар, який вона була не в змозі дістати в межах країни власної. Те ж саме стосувалося й держав: далеко не у всіх була можливість вирощувати виноград, отримувати олію, і тому доводилося торгуватись з іншими державами.
Дані торгівельні операції здійснювались різними шляхами: були каравани з купцями, човни, окремі люди – все це було ранніми проявами міжнародної логістики. На той момент, варіативність, швидкість та системність даної галузі ще були на своєму початковому рівні. Але вже тоді було зрозуміло, що дана сфера буде однією з найважливіших у розвитку міжнародних відносин.
З появою танкерів, поїздів, вертольотів, навіть літаків міжнародна логістика почала розвиватися в геометричній прогресії: адже тепер більшість проблем, пов’язаних зі швидкістю та зручністю перевезення між країнами та навіть континентами просто зникли. Окрім розвитку транспортної галузі на розвиток міжнародної логістики вплинула така річ, як індустріалізація та її подальший розвиток у пост-індустріальний період: з’явилося багато фабрик, заводів, підприємств, зокрема і державних, яким необхідні були ресурси, і далеко не завжди ці ресурси можна було знайти у себе в країні, або ж це просто було економічно менш вигідно, аніж брати ті ж ресурси з-за кордону. В подальшому дане укріплення міжнародних зв’язків та міжнародна спеціалізація сприяли появі такого явища, як глобалізація, яка і є локомотивом сьогоденної міжнародної логістики.
Важливість знання історії даної галузі полягає не тільки в її значущості в даний період часу, але й також у тому, що вивчення минулого дозволяє нам уникнути помилок, які були допущені дотепер, й обрати оптимальну логістичну стратегію.

The article is devoted to the study of the international logistics development and the definition of its current trends. Based on the study, conclusions on the evolution of international logistics were drawn, how these stages have affected the current state of the field, and trends in its development.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the historical base of international logistics, its impact on the present and current trends in this logistics industry.
Relevance of research. Since the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans, even Egypt, international trade has occupied a special place in the economy of those peoples. In exchange for goods or money, an individual could obtain certain necessary goods that he was unable to obtain within his own country. The same applied to the states: not everyone had the opportunity to grow grapes, get oil, and therefore had to trade with other states.
These trade operations were carried out in different ways: there were caravans with merchants, boats, individuals, and all this was an early manifestation of international logistics. At that time, the variability, speed and systemic nature of the industry were still at their initial level. Even then, it was clear that this area will be one of the most important in the development of international relations.
With the advent of tankers, trains, helicopters, and even airplanes, international logistics began to evolve exponentially, with most of the problems associated with speed and ease of transportation between countries and even continents simply disappearing. In addition to the development of the transport industry, the development of international logistics was influenced by such things as industrialization and its further development in the post-industrial period: there were many factories, plants, enterprises, including state, which needed resources, and not always these resources could be found in one’s own country, or it was simply less cost-effective than taking the same resources from abroad. In the future, this strengthening of international relations and international specialization contributed to the emergence of such a phenomenon as globalization, which is the locomotive of today’s international logistics.
The importance of knowing the history of this industry is not only its importance in this period of time, but also that the study of the past allows us to avoid mistakes that have been made so far, and choose the optimal logistics strategy.
