У статті розглянуто та обґрунтовано необхідність активного впровадження компетентнісного підходу в освітній процес. Також на основі нових рекомендацій Міністерства освіти і науки України проаналізовано нові компетентнісні стандарти та ефективність їх впровадження. Сам підхід передбачає спрямованість сучасного освітнього процесу у напрямі формування, набуття та розвитку ключових компетентностей у студентів, які у свою чергу формують здатність самостійно та ефективно вирішувати професійні завдання у різних орієнтирах та  різної складності. З’ясовано, що компетентності студентів, здобуті у процесі навчання постають їхньою основою для подальшого професійного розвитку, успішного працевлаштування та задоволеного роботодавця.

Modern education is undergoing great change, criticism and challenges. After all, distance learning changed the whole educational process, reoriented it in another direction, set new requirements and the end result. In general, remote employment and professional performance are now assessed in a completely different way. To be successful and effectively cope with their professional tasks you need to master the necessary competencies, successfully practice them, learn from experience, as well as undergo a critical analysis of professionals, which will certainly help to discover their strengths and indicate in which direction to work to improve their not yet so perfect, parties. In higher education, the indicator of quality and effective learning is the competencies that the student acquires in the learning process, and the competency approach in education is the ability to properly teach students to achieve quality results, namely the integration of knowledge, skills, values, culture and understanding. a graduate person who will be successful and in demand in the labor market.
The article is devoted to the issue of competence approach in modern Ukrainian education. In particular, the article considers and substantiates the need for active implementation of the competency approach in the educational process. Apart from that, new competency standards based on new recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science and the effectiveness of their implementation are analyzed. The approach itself assumes the orientation of the modern educational process in the direction of formation, acquisition and development of key competencies in students, which in turn help and form the ability to independently and effectively solve professional problems in various areas and of different complexity. After all, the competencies of students that they will acquire in the learning process –is their further professional development, successful employment and a satisfied employer. The modern labor market, the requirements for specialists and active changes in society require quick decisions, quality results and minimal costs for staff training. Therefore, modern education should prepare a quality graduate who, thanks to the acquired competencies in the learning process, will become a good team player, a leader with innovative views and the realization that success is a constant development and learning.
